Ludicum Convivium does not begin with a workshop. It begins with your arrival.
Gravel crunches beneath your feet. The paths wind through an expansive park, past old trees and open meadows, until a bright, tranquil house gradually emerges from the greenery. Large windows fill the rooms with natural light, doors stand open, somewhere tea is being poured. The scent of dinner drifts from the kitchen. People arrive one by one, settle into their rooms, wander curiously through the house and gardens, meet one another for the first time or embrace again after a long time apart. Conversations begin without ever needing to be arranged. Slowly, the feeling of still being on the way gives way to the feeling of having arrived.
On the first evening, everyone gathers around the table for a shared dinner. For the first time, the weekend begins to take shape. The prepared workshops, sessions and experiential spaces are introduced, new ideas find their place, formats shift, encounters inspire further contributions. The programme provides the framework, yet it remains alive, permeable and open to whatever may emerge from the dynamics of the group. With every conversation, every idea and every new encounter, the space begins to change ever so slightly. Not because something is missing, but because there is still room. Room for what no one could have planned alone. It is this peculiar balance between orientation and openness. Enough structure to arrive. Enough freedom for something uniquely its own to unfold. Not everything has been decided yet.
Nothing extraordinary has happened so far. And yet, there is already that almost intangible feeling in the air—that quiet sense of anticipation for everything that can only emerge once people begin to bring a space to life together.

A space that, for one weekend, does not understand itself as a program, but rather as a shared state.
An attempt to allow a form of community to emerge for a limited time, in which practice and play, seriousness and lightness, closeness and distance do not have to stand in opposition, but can exist alongside one another.
A place where people come together who have found different languages for related experiences: bodywork, tantra, kink, sex-positive culture, ecstatic dance, yoga, somatic practice, or also a quiet, still unnamed interest in engaging more consciously with themselves and others.
A weekend as a condensed space in which it becomes observable how encounters arise when they are not fully organised, and what becomes visible when control and openness enter a moving balance.
A structure that is not concerned with showing or producing something specific, but rather with making visible what happens when people enter a shared field with time, presence, and mutual attention.
Welcome to Ludicum Convivium!
What? → For one weekend, a space is to be opened. Not a festival in the conventional sense, rather a temporary assemblage of people, practices, and atmospheres that takes shape from what is brought into it. With a deliberate openness toward the unplanned, the quiet, the playful, the intimate, and the experimental, as well as toward retreat, regeneration, and doing nothing. Between the facilitated offerings, the in-between spaces remain central: those not fully structured moments in which conversations emerge, bodies come into contact, or practice unfolds beyond formal frameworks. At its core, it is less about a program and more about the question of how a field can emerge in which safety and curiosity do not exclude one another.
For who? → For participants, this creates an invitation into a space that does not require a specific role beyond presence, respect, and awareness of one’s own and others’ boundaries.
The space is generally open to people regardless of age (with the exception of legal adulthood), appearance, body shape, gender, sexual orientation, background, or physical ability. Different experiences and contexts are explicitly welcome.
At the same time, a mindful relationship with oneself is expected; in particular the ability to perceive, communicate, and regulate one’s own boundaries, as well as to take responsibility for one’s participation in a dynamic, at times intensive social and body-based field. Experience in similar contexts is helpful but not required, as long as there is a basic capacity for self-reflection and attentiveness in relation to oneself and others.
For supporters? → For people who hold spaces or wish to contribute impulses, a process of co-creation opens up. Not as a conventional line-up, but as a collective composition of a weekend made of experiences, qualities, and atmospheres. An open form is provided through which ideas can be submitted. From these, a curated but intentionally permeable framework will take shape. Accepted contributors receive a reduced ticket. The exact reduction depends on the scope and format of the contribution and will be discussed individually once the programme has been curated. What else? → Your ticket includes accommodation (primarily in shared double rooms), dinner on the day of arrival, breakfast, lunch and dinner on the full event day, as well as breakfast before departure.
To keep the event as accessible as possible, tickets are offered in three categories. The Supporter Ticket helps subsidise reduced-price tickets for others. The Standard Ticket reflects the regular participation fee. The Social Ticket is intended for participants with a demonstrably low income, such as students, unemployed people or others in comparable financial situations.
Ludicum Convivium takes place during the opening phase of a new retreat venue. Being among its very first guests allows us to offer comparatively low ticket prices while also contributing to the development of a place that is still finding its rhythm. As Ludicum Convivium is a first edition taking place on relatively short notice and in a newly emerging retreat venue, we see this weekend as a shared experiment: an opportunity to bring together people, practices and perspectives while contributing to the atmosphere and culture of a place that is only just beginning to take shape.
For this reason, we reserve the right to cancel the event should the minimum number of participants not be reached. In this case, all payments already made will, of course, be refunded in full.
