Walking a Fine Line – Playing on the Edge

photographer: CarnivorePictures

What happens when we deliberately seek out intense experiences on the edge of comfort, control, or even overwhelm? This workshop is for those who want to explore conscious boundary-pushing in a way that honors both personal limits and interpersonal responsibility. We’ll dive into the psychological foundations of trauma, the purpose of triggers and general personal boundaries, and what happens in the body and mind when these are ignored or crossed. Rather than avoiding intensity, we’ll explore how to create safe containers around challenging experiences through intentional preparation and integration, clear communication, and mutual awareness. Through practical tools and embodied exercises we explore how to recognize early signs of overwhelm in yourself and others and practice verbal and nonverbal communication in moments of stress or emotional activation. This workshop is about making space for intensity – without losing connection, safety, or consent.
